Therapy That Actually Helps You Move Forward
If you’re here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to make sense of what you’re experiencing.
Maybe you’ve tried therapy before, but it didn’t quite get to the root of things.
You don’t need more coping strategies that only go so far.
You need real healing.
That’s exactly what I help clients do.
I got into working with complex trauma and dissociative identity disorder (DID) because I noticed a need. Not many therapists feel comfortable diving into the deepest trenches of trauma because it can appear to be daunting. My greatest hope is that if you’ve experienced compounded, complex trauma and/or dissociation, I’d hope that you feel like I’m in your corner helping you to uncover joy and a life worth living.
Meet Eddie Shin
Hi! I’m Eddie.
I'm one of the few therapists in Utah County with Master Certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)—the highest level of ART training, involving advanced supervised casework—and specialized training in Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) in Orem, UT, Utah County, and the Provo area. I’m also licensed in Florida, Arizona, and Idaho, providing virtual options for ART and DID therapy.
I specialize in helping teens, young adults, and adults who are struggling with:
My approach is calm, collaborative, and deeply trauma-informed.
I don’t rush the process—and I also don’t keep you stuck in it longer than needed.
Together, we focus on helping you feel better, understand yourself, and actually experience change.
Nothing here requires you to decide anything right now.

My Approach to Therapy
Healing from trauma requires more than just talking.
That’s why I use a combination of evidence-based and experiential approaches to help your brain and body fully process what you’ve been through.
-
A fast, effective approach that helps resolve trauma without reliving it in detail.
ART is a type of eye-movement therapy that bypasses the logical thinking part of the brain, allowing you the ability to really resolve the problem without logic getting in the way. It’s a much gentler approach to trauma processing and resolution than talk therapy. The majority of clients that I work with prefer ART to other traditional therapy models.
-
Neurofeedback is a way to train your brain to regulate itself—reducing anxiety, reactivity, and emotional overwhelm. With the use of a small neurofeedback device, feedback is given in the form of an animation—such as a movie, YouTube video, or video game. Most people start seeing improvements within the first 5 sessions.
-
Every session is grounded in safety, respect, and your pace. Nothing is ever rushed or pressured. I ensure that you will feel comfortable while still receiving the care that you are seeking and deserve in order to find healing.
