Therapy That Actually Helps You Move Forward

If you’re here, you might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to make sense of what you’re experiencing.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy before, but it didn’t quite get to the root of things.

You don’t need more coping strategies that only go so far.
You need real healing.

That’s exactly what I help clients do.

I got into working with complex trauma and dissociative identity disorder (DID) because I noticed a need. Not many therapists feel comfortable diving into the deepest trenches of trauma because it can appear to be daunting. My greatest hope is that if you’ve experienced compounded, complex trauma and/or dissociation, I’d hope that you feel like I’m in your corner helping you to uncover joy and a life worth living.

Meet Eddie Shin

Hi! I’m Eddie.

I'm one of the few therapists in Utah County with Master Certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)—the highest level of ART training, involving advanced supervised casework—and specialized training in Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) in Orem, UT, Utah County, and the Provo area. I’m also licensed in Florida, Arizona, and Idaho, providing virtual options for ART and DID therapy.

I specialize in helping teens, young adults, and adults who are struggling with:

My approach is calm, collaborative, and deeply trauma-informed.
I don’t rush the process—and I also don’t keep you stuck in it longer than needed.

Together, we focus on helping you feel better, understand yourself, and actually experience change.

Nothing here requires you to decide anything right now.

My Approach to Therapy

Healing from trauma requires more than just talking.

That’s why I use a combination of evidence-based and experiential approaches to help your brain and body fully process what you’ve been through.

What Makes My Work Different

1. Specialized in Trauma & Dissociation

I work deeply with trauma, DID, and complex cases—not just general therapy.

2. Focus on Real Change

We’re not just managing symptoms—we’re working toward lasting relief.

3. You Stay in Control

You never have to share more than you’re ready to. Therapy moves at your pace.

4. Clear, Practical Guidance

You won’t leave sessions wondering what to do next.

What Clients Often Experience

Clients I work with often begin to:
  • Feel calmer and more grounded
  • Experience fewer triggers and emotional swings

  • Understand their thoughts, emotions, and parts more clearly

  • Improve communication and relationships

  • Feel more connected to themselves and others

  • Let go of shame and self-blame

What to Expect in Your First Session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step.

In your first session, we will:

  • Talk about what’s been going on (at your pace)

  • Identify what you want to change or improve

  • Begin creating a clear plan for therapy

  • Help you feel more grounded and supported

There’s no pressure—just a starting point.
